This Acceptable Use Policy supersedes and replaces all prior versions.
1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) establishes the rules and guidelines for the use of all web development, hosting, design, and digital services provided by Neuron Computer Services, LLC (dba) Neuron Web Development (“Neuron Web,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to you, the client or end user (“Client,” “you,” or “your”). This AUP is incorporated by reference into and forms part of your Service Agreement, Statement of Work, and any related schedules or addenda (collectively, the “Agreement”).
By using our Services or accessing any website, application, or platform hosted or maintained by Neuron Web, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by this AUP. You are responsible for ensuring that anyone who accesses or uses the Services on your behalf — including employees, contractors, content contributors, and site administrators — also complies with this policy.
Neuron Web reserves the right to suspend or terminate Services in accordance with the Agreement if you or any authorized user of your account violates this AUP. We may update this AUP at any time and for any reason at our sole discretion. While we may provide notice of material changes, it is your responsibility to review this policy periodically. The most current version will always be available on our website.
2. Scope of Services
This AUP applies to all services provided by Neuron Web, including but not limited to:
- Website design, development, and redesign
- Web application development
- Website hosting and server management
- Domain registration and DNS management
- Content management system (CMS) administration
- E-commerce platform development and support
- Search engine optimization (SEO) services
- Website maintenance, updates, and ongoing support
- Email hosting associated with client domains
- Any third-party integrations, plugins, or tools provisioned through Neuron Web
3. Acceptable Use
You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with this AUP and the Agreement. You are solely responsible for all content that you or your authorized users publish, upload, transmit, or otherwise make available through the Services, including text, images, video, audio, code, and downloadable files.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use, nor permit any authorized user to use, the Services to engage in, facilitate, or promote any of the following:
4.1 Illegal or Harmful Activity
- Conducting, facilitating, or promoting any activity that violates applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation
- Gaining unauthorized access to any computer system, network, server, or account — whether owned by Neuron Web, its clients, or any third party
- Impersonating any person or entity, or falsely representing your affiliation with any person or entity
- Engaging in phishing, social engineering, or any scheme designed to fraudulently obtain credentials, personal data, or financial information from others
- Using the Services to transmit, deploy, or host any virus, worm, trojan, ransomware, spyware, adware, or other malicious code
- Engaging in any activity that could expose Neuron Web, its infrastructure, or its other clients to legal liability or reputational harm
4.2 Prohibited Content
You shall not publish, upload, transmit, store, or link to any content through websites, applications, or systems hosted or managed by Neuron Web that, in our reasonable judgment:
- Involves the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors in any form
- Promotes, incites, or threatens violence against any individual or group
- Constitutes harassment, bullying, intimidation, or hate speech targeting any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- Is defamatory, libelous, or invades the privacy of any individual
- Is deceptive, misleading, or fraudulent in violation of any applicable consumer protection law
- Infringes upon any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property right belonging to a third party
- Is designed to circumvent or defeat digital rights management, copy protection, or content licensing mechanisms
- Discloses trade secrets, proprietary information, or confidential data belonging to a third party without authorization
- Facilitates or promotes the sale or distribution of controlled substances, counterfeit goods, stolen property, or any other prohibited items
- Endangers the safety of any individual, or obstructs or interferes with any law enforcement investigation
- Is otherwise unlawful, harmful, or objectionable as determined by Neuron Web in its reasonable discretion
4.3 Resource Abuse
- Consuming server, bandwidth, storage, or processing resources in a manner that is excessive, disproportionate, or disruptive to other users on shared or multi-tenant hosting infrastructure
- Running unattended background processes, cryptocurrency mining software, peer-to-peer file sharing nodes, or open proxy/relay services on any shared hosting environment without prior written authorization
- Using automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) in a manner that places an unreasonable load on Neuron Web’s infrastructure or on any third-party service accessed through the hosting environment
- Hosting or distributing files or media that are unrelated to the legitimate purpose of your website or application for the sole purpose of consuming storage or bandwidth
5. Email and Electronic Communications
If Neuron Web provides or manages email services in connection with your domain:
- You shall not use those email services to send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or commercial email that does not comply with the CAN-SPAM Act and all other applicable regulations
- You shall not forge, falsify, or manipulate email headers, sender addresses, or reply-to fields
- You must honor all opt-out and unsubscribe requests promptly and in accordance with applicable law
- Neuron Web reserves the right to monitor outbound email traffic for compliance purposes and to block, throttle, or quarantine messages that violate this AUP or applicable regulations
- Sending volume limits may be enforced on shared hosting environments to protect deliverability for all users
6. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership
- You represent and warrant that you own or hold all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions for any content you provide to Neuron Web or publish through the Services, including text, photographs, graphics, videos, music, fonts, and software
- You are solely responsible for obtaining any required licenses for third-party assets used in your website or application, including stock photography, commercial fonts, premium plugins, and third-party APIs
- If Neuron Web receives a valid takedown notice or infringement claim under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) or similar statute, we may remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content and will follow applicable notice-and-counter-notice procedures
- Neuron Web respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its clients to do the same
7. Website and Hosting Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of all login credentials, administrative accounts, API keys, FTP/SFTP passwords, and database credentials associated with your hosted services
- You shall not share administrative credentials among unauthorized individuals or store them in plaintext in publicly accessible locations
- You agree to keep all CMS platforms, plugins, themes, and application dependencies reasonably up to date with security patches, either directly or through a maintenance plan with Neuron Web
- You shall cooperate with Neuron Web in good faith in the investigation and remediation of any security incident affecting your hosted environment, including promptly providing access and information as needed
- You shall not disable, bypass, or interfere with any security measures, firewalls, or monitoring tools implemented by Neuron Web on its hosting infrastructure
- Neuron Web reserves the right to temporarily suspend a hosted site or application that has been compromised or is actively being used to distribute malicious content, in order to protect the broader infrastructure
8. Domain Names and DNS
- You must maintain accurate, current, and complete registrant information with your domain registrar for any domain hosted on or pointed to Neuron Web infrastructure
- If you configure DNS records on systems operated by Neuron Web for a domain for which you are not the registrant or authorized contact (as shown in WHOIS or RDAP records), Neuron Web may modify, transfer, or remove those records upon a verified request from the domain’s rightful owner or administrative contact
- Neuron Web is not responsible for domain expiration, transfer disputes, or registrar-level issues unless domain management is explicitly included in your Service Agreement
9. E-Commerce and Payment Processing
If the Services include e-commerce functionality:
- You are solely responsible for compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and all other applicable payment regulations for your online store
- You shall not store raw credit card numbers, CVV codes, or other sensitive cardholder data on any server managed by Neuron Web unless a PCI-compliant payment processing solution has been implemented and approved
- You are responsible for the accuracy of product descriptions, pricing, shipping terms, refund policies, and all other consumer-facing representations on your e-commerce site
- Neuron Web shall not be held liable for chargebacks, payment disputes, or regulatory penalties arising from your e-commerce operations
10. Compliance and Legal Obligations
- You are solely responsible for ensuring that your website, application, and use of the Services comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including data protection and privacy laws (such as GDPR and CCPA), accessibility standards (such as WCAG and ADA), industry-specific regulations, and local business licensing requirements
- Neuron Web does not serve as your legal counsel, compliance officer, or regulatory advisor; our development or hosting of your website does not constitute legal advice or guarantee compliance with any specific law or standard
- You agree to promptly inform Neuron Web if you become aware of any legal or regulatory requirement that materially affects the design, functionality, or hosting of your website or application
11. Monitoring and Enforcement
- Neuron Web reserves the right to monitor the use of its hosting infrastructure, networks, and services for the purpose of ensuring compliance with this AUP, maintaining performance, and protecting security
- Monitoring activities may include reviewing server logs, resource utilization, network traffic, and automated security scans
- Neuron Web handles all data observed during monitoring in accordance with our Privacy Policy and any applicable Data Processing Agreement
12. Consequences of Violation
Violations of this AUP may result in one or more of the following actions, at Neuron Web’s sole discretion:
- Issuance of a written notice requesting prompt corrective action
- Temporary suspension of hosting, email, or other services until the violation is resolved
- Removal, disabling, or quarantine of offending content, files, or applications
- Permanent termination of the Agreement and all associated Services
- Reporting of illegal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities
Where practical, Neuron Web will attempt to provide reasonable notice before taking enforcement action. However, we reserve the right to act immediately and without prior notice where a violation poses an imminent threat to the security, availability, or integrity of our infrastructure, or to the safety of any individual.
13. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any activity that you believe violates this AUP — including content hosted on Neuron Web infrastructure — please report it promptly to:

14. Limitation of Liability
Neuron Web shall not be held liable for any damages, losses, or costs arising from the enforcement of this AUP, including but not limited to suspension or termination of Services, removal of content, or reporting to law enforcement. You agree to indemnify and hold Neuron Web harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses resulting from your violation of this AUP, any content you publish through the Services, or your use of the Services in a manner inconsistent with the Agreement.
15. Policy Updates
Neuron Web may revise this AUP at any time to reflect changes in our service offerings, applicable law, industry standards, or security best practices. The most current version of this AUP will be published on our website at https://neuronweb.dev/legal/acceptable-use/. Continued use of the Services following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
